    2. RVA Paramotor 2022

    RVA Paramotor 2022

    YOU ARE CORDIALLY INVITED TO THE (FLY-IN) RENDEZ-VOUS AVIATEUR (RVA) PARAMOTOR FROM AUGUST 4 TO 7, 2022

    Word of welcome

    As always, entry is free for all pilots, their families and caregivers. We still want you to place your order for admission tickets, even though they are free. This will allow us to properly prepare for the expected number of participants. We will also keep you informed of the registrations.

    Last year, we added mechoui and crèperie to the RVA menu. We are doing the same again this year. Be sure to choose the right number of mechoui tickets that you want.

    Be sure to read the documents added to this page carefully. Completing the registration proves that you have read and accepted the terms and conditions of this event. Thank you for your understanding.

    Good flights!!...

    Gilles Ranger
    General manager

    RVA Paramotor 2022

    Instructions

    Each driver is:
    • autonomous and responsible for their movements and equipment
    • holder of a Transport Canada paramotor pilot license
    • holder of valid liability insurance
    • owner of a device duly registered with Transport Canada
    • signatory of a liability waiver, a certificate of possession of the documents required by Transport Canada
    • required to attend the pre-flight briefing indicating the particularities of the terrain and surroundings

    The event will be held under the " Transport Canada Paramotor Gatherings Exemption "

    The aim of this activity is to share and exchange information between pilots as well as to discover new friends and parts of the country in a friendly atmosphere.

    Notice to pilots

    ***Any driver not respecting the rules of the event and/or Transport CANADA will be subject to expulsion WITHOUT NOTICE***.

    Please!! Respect the rules of civility:

    • No generator after 10pm;
    • No traffic, except emergency;
    • No loud music between midnight and 6:30 AM;
    • Dogs must be kept leashed at all times.

    *** Important ***

    The organization, the owners of the land and all partners will not be held responsible for any accidents or injuries to people on the meeting site, or for losses or damages attributable to fire, theft or any other causes...

    Pre-Flight Briefing

    1. Take off according to the legality of your case (strobe or not).

    2. We take off, we get out.

    3. We don't stay close to the track. We go south of the tree square to do our silly things, close to the ground. There are beautiful grounds to do this, far from the track and far from the farm animals!

    4. Circuit according to the South winds. That is to say that:
      - If the wind is mainly from the East , we turn right .
      - If the wind is mainly from the West , we turn left .
      - If the wind is mainly from the South , take off from the paramotor field and turn to the right .
      - If the wind has a North-East tendency, we do not take off .

    5. If a wing is spread on the ground, do not get in front of it within 200 feet unless agreed between pilots (a wing in a bag is not spread). If you miss a takeoff, you immediately get out of the way and get back in place.

    6. We do not fly over the trailers less than 500 feet and the village less than 1000 feet AGL (ground: 250 feet / 76m). Landings always have priority, let's be attentive to what is happening before taking off. Nevertheless, let's avoid landing in front of a pilot who is preparing. Once landed, let's get out of the way immediately.

    7. When preparing for a tandem flight, let's wait for it to take off before leaving.

    8. If a ground controller is present, wait for his signal to take off. And if you have a radio, advise him of your landing intentions on frequency 125.550. The controller has the authority to ground you.

    9. Beware of domestic animals (cows, horses), stay at 1000 feet AGL or avoid them.

    10. If you decide to fly cross-country, make sure you have a pickup available.

    11. For safety reasons, we suggest that each pilot have a flight buddy or a person on the ground who can be reached by telephone and who knows the route and approximate duration of each flight.

    12. For added security, we also suggest that each pilot fly with their cell phone and share their position with their contact.

    13. I would like you to pay particular attention to the occupied (yellow) and prohibited (red) flight zones around the ULM Québec aerodrome. The RVA Paramoteur is at the blue point.
