The headset uses a sealed, military-specification noise-cancelling electret microphone designed for high-noise environments, coupled with a loudspeaker that provides excellent sound quality. The earmuff used is a dual-skin earpiece, for better passive attenuation. The earpiece cuts out more noise than most other single-skin headsets on the market. Equipped with the latest liquid gel ear seals, which reduce the pressure point effect of prolonged use also for users wearing glasses. The headset comes with an individual volume wheel mounted on the left earpiece, a large windscreen as standard (small windscreen optional on order) and strong shielded cables with 7-pin locking bayonet plug.
A pair of headsets can be plugged into a link adapter (MM004), providing a portable intercom between pilot and passenger. Using this system, you can move from one aircraft to another without any fixed equipment. If you need a connection to a radio, mobile phone, second radio or music, you must connect each headset to a radio interface (MM005). Of course, a headset can be used alone or in pairs.
